Microwave Broccoli
- 6 cups broccoli 1 12 ounce Bag
- ¼ cups water
- salt & pepper to taste
Roast Broccoli
- 6 cups broccoli 1 12 ounce bag
- 2-3 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- salt & pepper to taste
Boil/Blanch Broccoli
- 6 cups broccoli 1 12 ounce bag
- 8 cups water
- salt & pepper to taste
Steam Broccoli
- 6 cups broccoli 1 12 ounce bag
- 8 cups water
- salt & pepper to taste
Saute Broccoli
- 6 cups broccoli 1 12 ounce bag
- 4 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoon water
- salt & pepper to taste
Microwave Broccoli
Clean & cut the broccoli.
Place in a microwavable container that has a lid.
Pour water over the broccoli, then place lid/cover.
Place in microwave for 3 minutes. If needed microwave in 1 minute increments in addition to the 3 minutes.
The broccoli should be bright green, and salt & pepper to taste.
Roast Broccoli
Preheat the oven to 400° F. Clean & cut the broccoli.
Place in an oven safe container. Mix in olive oil, garlic powder (optional), salt and pepper. Coat the broccoli evenly.
Roast until the stalks and crowns are lightly browned, about 10 minutes.
Boil/Blanch Broccoli
In a pot add water and bring to a boil over high heat.
Clean the broccoli. You can either cut the broccoli before cooking or after.
Boiling method: Place the broccoli in the boiling water for 1 to 3 minutes.
Blanching method: Place the broccoli in a strainer, and pour the boiling water onto the broccoli.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Steam Broccoli
In a pot add water and bring to a boil over high heat.
Clean and cut the broccoli. Place the broccoli in a steamer basket, and place in the pot. Ensure that the broccoli is not submerged in the water. Cover to let the steam build.
Cook the broccoli for 5 minutes or until bright green.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Saute Broccoli
Clean and cut broccoli. Mix the broccoli with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Heat a saute pan or wok over medium-high heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
Carefully add the broccoli and let it sit for 2 minutes before stirring so it browns.
Add the water and cover for 2 minutes so it can quickly steam. After the 2 minutes remove cover and saute until the water has evaporated.
