    How to cook lobster?

It is very simple to cook lobster. I would recommend steaming the lobster.

What kind of butter do restaurants use for lobster?

Most restaurants use clarified butter which is better that has been melted and the milk solids are removed. This provides a translucent coating when served on lobster making it aesthetically pleasing.

    Ingredients

    • Lobster meat
    • Shrimp
    • Lemon juice
    • Parsley
    • Dill
    • Salt and ground black pepper
    • Brioche buns
    • Butter

    See recipe card for quantities.

    Instructions

    • Prep: Remove meat from cooked lobster, chop any large chunks into bite-sized pieces. Combine the lobster meat, shrimp, lemon juice, parsley, salt and ground black pepper in a sauce pan to heat and mix. Add 2 tablespoon of unsalted butter when mixing.
    • Cook: Brush the bread with the melted butter. Toast the brioche buns and split open.
    • Serve: Fill the toasted buns with the lobster and shrimp mixture. Top with fresh dill and drizzle melted butter.

What goes well with lobster rolls?

Clam chowder and even bruschetta is a great starter to lobster rolls. I like munching on truffle fries as a side or even chips, but if you’d like something healthier you could always add veggies like broccoli.

    Variations

Looking to make this recipe even better check out these tips to better suit you and your guests:

    • Lobster claws: I actually prefer the texture of lobster claws instead of the meat.
    • Go Greek: Skip the mayo and replace with Greek yogurt.
    • Low-Carb: Serve the lobster in lettuce cups instead of a bun.

    Storage

The lobster meat should be consumed within 2 days and placed in the refrigerator. The buns can be left out of the refrigerator for 1 day, ensure it is not in direct sunlight or other heat sources.

    Top tip

Elevate any party with this easy and simple dish. Prepare the lobster mixture beforehand and toast the bread the day of the event!

    FAQ
